Easton 5mm FMJ Max Match Grade shafts take the classic Full Metal Jacket concept and tune it for modern hunting arrows that need both speed and heavy-hitting penetration. Engineered around a lighter overall shaft weight, FMJ Max lets hunters build balanced rigs with either higher arrow speed or boosted front-of-center without pushing total mass into the extreme-heavy range.

Each shaft uses Easton’s seamless Acu-Carbon core fused with a 7075-alloy aluminum jacket to create a dense, small-diameter projectile that cuts wind, maintains energy, and penetrates exceptionally well on big game. The combination of carbon and aluminum increases ballistic efficiency and momentum while maintaining the easy target pull and durability FMJs are known for.​

Match Grade FMJ Max shafts are finished in a hard-anodized OD green diamond-plate aesthetic and built under Easton’s Match Grade system with tighter-than-standard tolerances for straightness and spine consistency. This translates directly into better broadhead flight, more forgiving tuning, and repeatable accuracy at hunting distances and beyond.​​

The 5mm platform uses a .204″ inside diameter, making it compatible with proven HIT-style component systems and allowing excellent FOC builds with 8-32 HIT inserts or the newer heavy steel half-out options. Match Grade versions ship with premium 5mm Microlite nocks and 5mm HIT collars included, giving bowhunters a ready-to-build shaft package aimed squarely at top-end hunting performance.
